ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Associate Project Sales Manager, you will support the entire life cycle of our customers’ orders to ensure successful completion of their bus builds. You will support the Project Sales Managers by reviewing order specifications with customers, assisting with pre-production meetings, compiling research and preparing price quotes.
You will liaise with various department levels, customers, suppliers and vendors cross-functionally to ensure expectations are met. Occasionally, 1-3 times a month (after hours), you will entertain/host customer events such as dinners, tours, and local functions. As the Associate Project Sales Manager, you will report to the Director, Sales Operations.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Review/prepare paint and dash layouts as well as floor plans to support the Project Sales Managers
- Work closely with suppliers to obtain current pricing information, assist in preparing customer price quotes and upload documentation into Salesforce
- Assist with customers pre-production meetings, research information and provide timely follow-up to all individuals
- Manage customers’ requests with prompt and concise responses to ensure full satisfaction and completion
- Occasionally, 1-3 times a month (after hours) entertain/host customer event (dinners, tours, local functions)
- Work cross-functionally with customers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Care/Warranty, Accounting, Parts as well as numerous suppliers and vendors
- Perform other related duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ Sales Account Management or related field experience required
- Professional written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Manage, prioritize and complete multiple tasks on time as well as within budget
- Ability to understand and interpret bills of material as well as engineering drawings, customer specifications and requirements
- Proven problem-solving skills to assist customers in resolving complex issues, complaints or time-sensitive matters
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to assist various customers’ needs
- Works well in a team environment and contributes to a positive, collaborative workplace
- Proven accountability to achieve common goals and foster open communication
- Strong computer skills: knowledge of Salesforce preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk and occasionally kneel or squat
- The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to navigate manufacturing environment, comfortable around heavy machinery, tools, etc.
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, (i.e. safety glasses, bump caps, hearing protection, etc.)
- 5-10% local travel required (after hours)
- Standard start time: 6:30 am (negotiable)
EXPECTED COMPENSATION
$60,000 - $120,000/annual salary + premium benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
