An Overview of this role
The Zuora Engineer will be responsible for the operational ownership of finance and accounting software applications within our enterprise applications team. This key position supports and develops our core business processes, including Quote-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report workflows. You'll work at the intersection of technology and business strategy, driving billing, subscription management, and revenue recognition efficiency while enabling seamless integrations across our platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement end-to-end Quote-to-Cash workflows, addressing complex subscription models, renewals, and amendments in Zuora
- Develop, test, and maintain Zuora subscription billing and Zuora Revenue solutions
- Create and manage complex processes systematically in collaboration with management and departments
- Integrate Zuora with other systems such as Zuora CPQ, NetSuite, Stripe, Avalara, and web-based customer platforms
- Manage subscription product catalogs with detailed configuration requirements to implement additional subscription models
- Create and maintain customizations, custom workflows, data exports, and data imports within Zuora
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Zuora integrations and customizations
- Train new and existing users on system functionality and provide technical support
- Document processes, policies, application configurations, and help materials
- Keep application users informed about system functionality and enhancements
- Log and track identified system problems through resolution
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement across the finance systems landscape
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing Zuora CPQ/Billing Products end-to-end
- Strong understanding of the Zuora platform, Zuora Admin, Zuora objects, APIs, and Zuora 360
- Experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, Flows, and Approval Processes
- Experience implementing Salesforce CPQ solutions aligned with finance and operational requirements
- Proven experience in reducing manual billing errors through process automation
- Understanding of relational databases and data integration tools
- Experience with ASC606, IFRS15, and SOX Compliance
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with close attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field, or equivalent work experience
Must Have
- Hands-on Zuora development experience, specifically with Zuora CPQ and Billing modules
- Working in PST hours
- Willingness to be on-call for critical billing cycles and system issues.
- Experience with Zuora Billing Administration, including product catalog management and rate plan configuration
Nice to Have
- Zuora Billing & Revenue certifications
- Experience with NetSuite, Workato, and Dell Boomi
- Experience with Coupa, Zip & Navan
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Experience enhancing reporting capabilities for financial forecasting and compliance audits

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.

$81,200 - $174,000 USD
