An overview of this role
We're seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Revenue Accounting Manager to lead our revenue recognition processes and drive operational excellence within our financial operations. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with process improvement expertise and leadership skills.
What You’ll Do

Review and approve customer contract reviews for proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and ASC 606 standards

Take the leading role in the monthly financial close, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions and completeness of financial statements

Maintain comprehensive documentation to support audit requirements and SOX compliance

Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, challenge the status quo and automation opportunities across quote-to-cash (QTC), revenue recognition, and financial close

Implement best practices to enhance workflow effectiveness and operational efficiency

Develop and implement standardized policies, procedures, and playbooks for revenue accounting processes

Champion the use of AI, RPA, and analytics tools to improve forecasting, variance analysis, and audit readiness

Act as the bridge between revenue accounting, deal desk, FP&A, IT, and sales ops, ensuring alignment on operational initiatives

Lead and mentor the revenue accounting team to ensure strong execution of revenue processes

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development

Provide ongoing training on revenue recognition principles, process efficiencies, and system utilization
What You’ll Bring
- 7+ years of revenue accounting experience in a fast-growing SaaS, technology, or subscription-based company
- CPA certification strongly preferred
- Strong ASC 606 expertise, particularly in software/SaaS revenue recognition
- Proven track record in process optimization, automation, and system implementation within a revenue accounting function
- Ability to manage large-scale transformation projects, working cross-functionally across Finance, IT, and Sales Ops
- Strong mentoring and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to process improvements, familiarity with RPA, AI, or advanced analytics tools for process automation an advantage
- Exposure to quote-to-cash systems (e.g., Zuora CPQ, Ironclad, or similar) Zuora highly preferred

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.

$90,000 - $190,000 USD
