An overview of this role

As a Solutions Architect, you’ll be a trusted advisor to our customers across Latin America with an emphasis on Brazil. You will help them understand how GitLab’s DevSecOps platform can solve real software delivery challenges and drive measurable business outcomes. You’ll own the technical side of the sales cycle, from discovery and value stream assessment through proof of concept and workshops, guiding customers as they evaluate and adopt GitLab. Based in Brazil and fluent in English and Portuguese (with Spanish strongly preferred), you’ll work closely with a regional sales director, account executives across enterprise, mid-market and public sector segments. You will work alongside another Solutions Architect in Brazil, while reporting to a senior manager in the US. In your first year, you’ll focus on building deep relationships with customers, shaping technical strategy for key accounts, and becoming the go-to technical advocate for GitLab in the region.

Some examples of our projects:

  • Running Value Stream Assessments for strategic accounts to identify where GitLab can improve their software development lifecycle
  • Designing and owning technical evaluation proofs of value and workshops that demonstrate modern software development lifecycle workflows with CI/CD, shift-left security, and generative AI

What you’ll do

  • Engage with prospects and customers across Brazil, onsite and remotely, to provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the pre-sales process
  • Collaborate with regional sales directors and account executives to shape and execute account strategies that drive GitLab adoption
  • Own technical evaluations, including proof of value activities, tender and audit responses, and the design and delivery of technical workshops
  • Serve as the Directly Responsible Individual on Customer Success Plans, ensuring technical risks are identified, addressed, and aligned to customer business outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders so they become confident GitLab advocates within their organizations
  • Act as the customer advocate to internal teams by sharing feedback and insights with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing
  • Maintain and deepen your expertise in GitLab and related technologies through training, certifications, and the creation of reusable technical examples for customers and partners
  • Educate customers of all sizes on the value of the GitLab platform, modern software development practices, continuous integration and continuous deployment, and cloud technologies
  • Run value stream assessments for key accounts with support from senior Solutions Architects to uncover opportunities for improvement and expanded GitLab usage

What you’ll bring

  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, with Spanish proficiency strongly preferred, and ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Latin America
  • Background in technical pre-sales, solution consulting, or information technology roles where you have supported a sales cycle or customer adoption journey
  • Experience with modern software development or operations practices and related technologies, including version control, CI/CD, and cloud-based environments
  • Understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle and how DevSecOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment, support business outcomes
  • Ability to design and present technical solutions that address customer requirements, including running proofs of concept, workshops, and technical evaluations
  • Skill in building trusted relationships with customers and internal partners, and representing customer needs back to Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to different customer segments and industries
  • Openness to learning new technologies and approaches, with interest in applying transferable skills to the GitLab platform and its ecosystem

About the team

Our Solutions Architect team partners with Sales to help customers across Brazil and the rest of Latin America to understand, adopt, and gain value from the GitLab DevSecOps platform. You’ll join a small, collaborative group that includes one other Solutions Architect in Brazil, a regional sales director, and Account Executives focused on enterprise, mid-market and public sector customers, reporting to a Senior Manager based in the US. The team works in an all-remote, highly asynchronous way across time zones, combining deep technical expertise with consultative engagement to guide customers through evaluations, proof of concepts, and strategic value stream assessments. Current priorities include scaling support for a growing LATAM customer base, strengthening GitLab advocacy within customer organizations, and sharing field feedback back into Product, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve our platform and customer outcomes.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
