Givens Highland Farms, a premier nonprofit life plan community in Black Mountain, is hiring a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Home Care team. This is a meaningful and vital position where you positively impact the lives of our residents, visitors, and fellow team members every day. This position would assist in the evenings, working 5:30pm - 10pm most days. We understand the importance of a healthy work-life balance, so we collaborate with you to offer flexible scheduling where possible.

What you'll do:

  • Provide services and treatments to Home Care clients, always following the plan of care and/or tasks delegated by the Home Care RN
  • Communicate client changes to the RN to assist with the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the Care Plan
  • Assist with the development and implementation of care plans, under the RNs supervision
  • Maintain chart documentation in an appropriate timeframe, always striving for accuracy, while utilizing applicable software to do so
  • Support the Life Plan Community by responding to independent pendant calls as needed
  • Communicate changes in a resident’s condition to the RN on duty
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of any PHI per HIPAA requirements

What you'll need:

  • Must be currently licensed in the State of North Carolina as an LPN
  • Previous experience in geriatrics/long-term care is desired, while not required

Compensation is $28.00-$30.00 per hour based on experience, +$3 shift differential pay.
