Givens Communities is looking for a Communications and Stewardship Associate to join our growing Philanthropy team! This position is responsible for supporting and enhancing our philanthropic efforts while fostering strong, long-term relationships with donors through creating effective communications. This role will play a vital role in ensuring that our mission and vision are communicated effectively to donors, and that their contributions are recognized and valued.
What you'll do:
- Serve as a point of contact for donors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring positive, ongoing engagement
- Coordinate the development and distribution of donor communications, including impact reports, newsletters, and event invitations
- Work with the Associate Director of Philanthropy to track donors' giving history, preferences, and engagement to identify new opportunities for fundraising and relationship building
- Write, edit, and curate compelling donor-facing materials, ensuring alignment with the organization's brand and messaging
- Develop and manage the donor recognition program
- Act as a spokesperson for the organization's philanthropy initiatives as necessary
- Help organize our community benefit program and create communications for all community outreach
- Stay informed on best practices in donor relations and philanthropy to continuously enhance the organization's efforts
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in philanthropy, donor relations, or a non-profit development role
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor messages for various audiences
- Familiarity with donor management databases (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar systems)
