Givens Communities is looking for a Communications and Stewardship Associate to join our growing Philanthropy team! This position is responsible for supporting and enhancing our philanthropic efforts while fostering strong, long-term relationships with donors through creating effective communications. This role will play a vital role in ensuring that our mission and vision are communicated effectively to donors, and that their contributions are recognized and valued.

What you'll do:

Serve as a point of contact for donors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring positive, ongoing engagement
Coordinate the development and distribution of donor communications, including impact reports, newsletters, and event invitations
Work with the Associate Director of Philanthropy to track donors' giving history, preferences, and engagement to identify new opportunities for fundraising and relationship building
Write, edit, and curate compelling donor-facing materials, ensuring alignment with the organization's brand and messaging
Develop and manage the donor recognition program
Act as a spokesperson for the organization's philanthropy initiatives as necessary
Help organize our community benefit program and create communications for all community outreach
Stay informed on best practices in donor relations and philanthropy to continuously enhance the organization's efforts
Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

What you'll need:

Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in philanthropy, donor relations, or a non-profit development role
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor messages for various audiences
Familiarity with donor management databases (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar systems)
