In-Home Aide & Companion - Overnight

Givens Communities is looking for an overnight in-home aide and companion to support our residents in their home. Our current need is at our Black Mountain campus, Givens Highland Farms, 7pm to 7am. This is a PRN position, with opportunity to grow into part-time or full-time.
What you'll do:
- Offer companionship by joining clients on walks or accompanying them on visits
- Assist and perform tasks delegated by Campus and Home Care nurses to support clients with their ADLs and IADLs
- Support clients with household management tasks such as caring for their pets, closet organization, light housekeeping, or light cooking
- Communicate changes in a resident's condition to the nurse on duty
- Maintain chart documentation and utilize applicable software to do so
- Assist with bathing and toileting as needed
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
What you'll need:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- No evidence of exclusion from the OIG registry
- Must be able to push, pull move, and/or lift a minimum of 50lbs to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move or carry a minimum distance of 10 feet with or without mechanical device
- Previous experience in home care, home health, geriatrics, or long term care preferred, but not required
- Active CPR certificate or willingness to obtain within six months of joining the team
- Ability to travel frequently, with an active driver's license with no major violations within the last 5 years
Compensation is $17.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on background and experience, plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential
