Givens Communities is looking for an overnight in-home aide and companion to support our residents in their home. Our current need is at our Black Mountain campus, Givens Highland Farms, 7pm to 7am. This is a PRN position, with opportunity to grow into part-time or full-time.

What you'll do:

Offer companionship by joining clients on walks or accompanying them on visits
Assist and perform tasks delegated by Campus and Home Care nurses to support clients with their ADLs and IADLs
Support clients with household management tasks such as caring for their pets, closet organization, light housekeeping, or light cooking
Communicate changes in a resident's condition to the nurse on duty
Maintain chart documentation and utilize applicable software to do so
Assist with bathing and toileting as needed
Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

What you'll need:

High School diploma or GED equivalent
No evidence of exclusion from the OIG registry
Must be able to push, pull move, and/or lift a minimum of 50lbs to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move or carry a minimum distance of 10 feet with or without mechanical device
Previous experience in home care, home health, geriatrics, or long term care preferred, but not required
Active CPR certificate or willingness to obtain within six months of joining the team
Ability to travel frequently, with an active driver's license with no major violations within the last 5 years

Compensation is $17.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on background and experience, plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential
