About the Role
 
Glance is looking for a Senior Manager, Brand & Consumer Marketing to lead our brand and consumer marketing efforts in Japan.
In this role, you will be responsible for shaping how Glance is introduced, understood, and adopted by Japanese consumers. Working closely with local, regional, and global stakeholders, you will lead brand campaigns, creator and influencer partnerships, consumer storytelling, and growth initiatives that build awareness, trust, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Localize the Brand for Japan
Adapt and evolve Glance's global brand positioning for Japanese consumers across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, entertainment, and technology categories. Ensure all communications feel locally relevant and culturally authentic.
  • Lead Brand and Partnership Campaigns
Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, PR, influencer, and experiential channels. Drive awareness, consideration, and engagement through strategic partnerships and culturally relevant activations.
  • Build the Creator and Influencer Ecosystem
Develop relationships with creators, influencers, talent agencies, media partners, and cultural tastemakers. Create long-term collaboration programs that strengthen brand credibility and consumer trust.
  • Drive Consumer Storytelling
Develop compelling narratives across earned, owned, paid, and social channels. Ensure a consistent brand voice while tailoring content and messaging for Japanese audiences.
  • Own Social and Cultural Relevance
Stay closely connected to Japanese consumer trends, internet culture, social platforms, and emerging communities. Identify opportunities for Glance to participate in relevant conversations and cultural moments.
  • Drive Consumer Growth & Adoption
Partner with Growth, Product Marketing, and Performance Marketing teams to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention. Ensure brand investments contribute to measurable business outcomes and consumer adoption.
  • Measure Impact
Define and track key performance indicators across awareness, consideration, engagement, sentiment, acquisition, retention, and brand health. Use data and consumer insights to continuously improve performance.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally
Work closely with Product Marketing, Creative, PR, Social, Growth, Business Development, and Global Marketing teams to deliver high-quality execution. Support the development and growth of the local marketing function over time.
 
Key Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in brand, consumer, or integrated marketing
  • Proven experience building brands, products, or consumer businesses in Japan
  • Deep understanding of Japanese consumer culture, social platforms, media landscape, and creator ecosystem
  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across earned, owned, and paid channels
  • Strong understanding of influencer marketing, creator partnerships, and community building
  • Working knowledge of performance marketing, including paid social, search, creator amplification, app growth, and attribution frameworks
  • Ability to balance long-term brand building with measurable business objectives
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using insights to inform marketing strategy
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to be hands-on
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English required
