Accounting Analyst

GLMX is a team of industry experts across finance and technology who value collaboration and creative problem solving. We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic and growing company in our New York City office. This role supports the head of our Finance team and contributes to the success of our global accounting operations in the US, UK, Singapore, and Netherlands.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Director of Finance and VP of Finance in all aspects of financial reporting for global team including:
- Assist in preparing monthly financial consolidations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards
- Review and manage operating expenses, ensuring accurate classification and identifying trends to support financial decision-making
- Assist in tracking and reconciling accounts receivable, supporting collections and resolution of outstanding balances
- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions, maintaining proper documentation and controls
- Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports, providing key financial insights for decision-making
- Contribute to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support regulatory reporting for the broker-dealer entity, ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and proactive problem-solver with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of broker-dealer regulatory requirements is a plus
- Must pass the FINRA SIE and Series 99 exams (if not already obtained)

The estimated base salary range for a new hire into this position is $75,000 USD to $85,000 USD, plus a discretionary annual bonus. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
