Mid-Level Space/Counterspace Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Space/Counterspace Analyst to join our dynamic team in Quantico, Virginia, and support our government customer’s mission-critical Defense Intelligence requirements.

The Mid-Level Space/Counterspace Analyst will play a key role in conducting all-source intelligence analysis of foreign military, space, and counterspace systems, including associated doctrine, technologies, capabilities, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats. The successful candidate will assess weapons systems, dual-use technologies, space platforms, and global technology transfer activities; produce high-quality intelligence assessments and briefings; identify intelligence gaps and collection requirements; and provide timely, actionable intelligence to support tactical, operational, and strategic decision-making.

Essential Job Functions:

Conduct all-source intelligence analysis of foreign military, space, and counterspace systems, including doctrine, technologies, capabilities, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats.

Research, analyze, and assess foreign weapons systems, dual-use technologies, space platforms, and related capabilities and their potential military implications.

Analyze global technology transfer activities and assess their impact on foreign military and space capabilities.

Develop high-quality written and oral intelligence products, including assessments, estimates, reports, and briefings, in accordance with Intelligence Community (IC) and organizational standards.

Provide timely, relevant, and actionable intelligence to support tactical, operational, and strategic decision-makers.

Collaborate with engineers, scientists, analysts, and intelligence partners across the Intelligence Community (IC) to integrate technical expertise and all-source analytic insights.

Maintain situational awareness of assigned portfolios, identify intelligence gaps, and develop collection strategies and requirements to address those gaps.

Support acquisition and capability development activities by producing threat assessments, lifecycle threat reports, and other intelligence products.

Participate in Threat Steering Groups and other forums supporting threat assessment, acquisition, and capability development activities.

Provide subject matter expertise on assigned space, counterspace, foreign military, and technical intelligence topics.

Conduct peer reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of analytic tradecraft, methodologies, processes, and intelligence products.

Apply validated analytic methodologies and structured analytic techniques to evaluate reporting, challenge assumptions, consider competing perspectives, and develop defensible analytic judgments.

Required Skills:

U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.

Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance is required.

Eight (8) or more years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the labor category, with at least a portion of that experience obtained within the last two (2) years.

Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Experience conducting intelligence analysis related to space, counterspace, foreign military capabilities, weapons systems, dual-use technologies, or technology transfer.

Experience developing threat assessments, lifecycle threat reports, or other intelligence products supporting acquisition and capability development.

Experience participating in Threat Steering Groups or comparable intelligence, acquisition, or capability-development forums.

Familiarity with Defense Intelligence and Intelligence Community analytic standards, tradecraft, methodologies, and reporting requirements.

Demonstrated comprehensive mission knowledge and technical proficiency, reflecting completion of required developmental training and relevant professional experience.

Ability to analyze and communicate insights derived from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, technically advanced, or seemingly unrelated.

Proven ability to structure analysis using reporting trends and incorporate diverse analytic perspectives across analysts, organizations, intelligence disciplines, and data sources.

Demonstrated experience producing clear, insightful, and comprehensive analytic products in support of Defense Intelligence requirements.

Strong research, analytical, writing, briefing, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision or direction.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate across the Intelligence Community, including information sharing, supporting and driving collection efforts, and resolving differing analytic judgments.

Proven ability to lead or coordinate analytic teams addressing complex, high-priority, or mission-critical intelligence problems.

Experience guiding the selection, design, and application of analytic methodologies, including evaluating arguments and applying validated analytic techniques to challenge assumptions and competing perspectives.
