Regional Program Manager - Singapore
The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) brings together philanthropy including the IKEA Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation and the Bezos Earth Fund, governments, technology, policy and development partners, and the private sector to tackle the twin challenges of energy access and transition in emerging and developing countries. By 2030, we aim to expand clean energy access to one billion people, enable 150 million new jobs and reduce 4 gigatons of future carbon emissions. We believe clean energy is development: without it, every other form of progress is undermined so we’re building a movement to unlock a new era of inclusive green economic growth that accelerates universal energy access while enabling the global community to meet critical climate goals during the next decade.
This role will support the Regional Program MD, South East Asia to ensure coherent strategy development, and scope new initiatives that contribute to GEAPP’s impact goals. The role will ensure coordination between countries across the regional program, setting standards to manage risk and delivery in a consistent manner. The role will be a broad role encompassing some general management responsibilities as well as program planning and delivery. The Manager will support the Regional Program MD and the GEAPP Asia Country Leads, in the governance and management of the country programmes and investments, leveraging the full capacities of the Alliance to drive transformative energy transition through energy storage systems, renewable energy, climate change and GHG emission in Asia. This role will lead building the regional capacity and supporting the expansion of GEAPP to co-create, develop, and drive transformative initiatives in Asia, working alongside key partners. The role will help to connect the programmes across markets in Asia as well as managing work in countries where GEAPP does not yet have a presence. The role will also be critical to keeping Asia connected with the Global teams and building strong relationships with GEAPP global colleagues. Working with colleagues, governments, multilateral donors, and private sector players, the Manager will validate opportunities, support risk and delivery management and work closely with the Communications Manager on strategic internal and external communications. |
