Senior Manager - Product Manager
General Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Software Engineering, the primary responsibility of this position is to advocate for and manage product vision, strategy, and overall direction for an enterprise integration platform. This Platform Product Manager leads cross-functionally within the organization to manage the platform. Fusion is focused on enterprise integration solutions which enable our customers to derive value provided by GHX product offerings. We are committed to enabling market-leading, robust, seamless, secure connectivity and integration between GHX products and industry leading ERPs, MMIS and enterprise systems, empowering transformation in healthcare and drive growth. This is a leadership role managing the “Integration Suite offering” of our business, providing strategic and detail-oriented plans, with a strong presence in front of internal/external customers, partners, and senior management. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Product Management to lead our Enterprise Integration Platform team. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, roadmap, and development of our platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our customers and aligns with our business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead a team of 1-3 technical product managers and/or product managers and/or product owners, with a focus on coaching and professional development. Knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Leads the execution of best-practice product management techniques: OKRs, discovery techniques, roadmap definition, etc.
• Sets the strategic vision for the product line, defining and communicating the product roadmap to all key stakeholders aligned with the corporate strategy, as well as new and existing capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Enterprise Integration Platform. Leads sales, product owners, and engineering team members within the region to develop top-quality products by serving as a leader between customers/sales and engineering.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather internal/external customer feedback to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product enhancements. • Analyzes the competition, industry best practices and market trends, then define and execute on strategies to be the market leader.
• Define product requirements, prioritize features, and oversee the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch. 2
• Work closely with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations.
• Drive product adoption and success through effective go-to-market strategies, product marketing initiatives, and customer engagement.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry influencers to drive product innovation and market leadership.
• Monitor product performance, track key metrics, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize product performance.
• Leads the development of value propositions and sales tools to be used by the sales team.
• Works closely with marketing and brand on external messaging and naming for product.
• Leads cross-functional rollout and go-to-market of products and new feature sets.
• Trains all customer-facing employees on product details, value proposition, and sales techniques
• Serves as the technical expert on your product while working directly with customers (jointly with sales) both to assist sales in closing deals and to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Work with sales and finance to accurately build business cases to forecast and monitor the success of products and use these measures to drive product strategy.
• Sets and regularly evaluates product pricing using best-in-class pricing strategies.
• Effectively negotiates for your product through any internal prioritization processes.
• Ensures legal requirements are met, and any risks are mitigated through collaboration with legal.
• Ability to travel 15-25%
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's or higher in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience managing small to mid-size teams.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management roles, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing enterprise software products/platforms.
• Deep understanding of enterprise integration technologies, including APIs, microservices, ETL, and data integration tools.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and drive results.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, executives, and team members at all levels.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in Healthcare Technology platforms in a Cloud based and Software as a Service Environment.
• Experience in healthcare supply chain automation models
• Superior communication skills along with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams
• Superior cross-functional skills across customers, sales, marketing, operations, development, and suppliers 3
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of organization and attention to detail
• Ability to manage and coach multiple direct reports across a matrixed delivery team model
