Software Engineer II- Full stack
Summary:
GHX is looking for a Software Engineer with UI/frontend as well as backend and/or analytics experience. You should be able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivated, highly detail oriented, able to context switch easily while working on multiple projects.
You will work with other engineers including data scientist, AI engineers, UI/UX designers, and QA to develop innovative solutions that meet company initiatives with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Frontend Development:
- Develop and maintain user-friendly web applications using modern frontend frameworks.
- Implement responsive designs to ensure applications work seamlessly across various devices and browsers.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.
Backend Support:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs.
- Work with backend engineers to integrate frontend applications with backend services.
- Ensure efficient data flow between frontend and backend systems.
Data Science and Machine Learning Integration:
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to integrate ML models and data visualizations into frontend applications.
- Assist in developing interactive dashboards and tools for data analysis and visualization.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team meetings.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for frontend-related issues.
Documentation and Learning:
- Document frontend development processes, code, and APIs.
- Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest frontend technologies and best practices.
- Seek opportunities to improve skills and knowledge in backend development and data science applications.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on frontend development.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with frontend frameworks/libraries especially Angular.
Use and/or implementation of backend solutions (e.g., Node.js, Express, RESTful APIs).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Analytical Skills:
- Ability to translate design mockups and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional Technical Skills:
- Experience with backend frameworks and languages.
- Familiarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js).
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience integrating ML models into applications.
Industry Experience:
- Experience in healthcare supply chain
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Soft Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Passion for creating user-centric applications and improving user experiences.
- Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
