Senior Technical Data Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Technical Data Analyst with a strong in-depth data analysis background to join our team. Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for diving deeply into data sets, identifying issues, extracting insights, developing data driven solutions, and mentoring junior analysts. As part of the Data and Analytics group, your work will enable capabilities for GHX’s data and analytics solutions utilized by hospitals and suppliers.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead the necessary deep dive initiatives into large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities and review and provide solutions based on acceptable best practices.
- Identify and diagnose data inconsistencies and errors, applying experience and enforcing quality and standards in taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Create, design, and implement AI models, predictions, architecture and other tools or methods to reduce and solve complex business problems using continuous improvement and scalable approaches Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their business needs and develop appropriate solutions.
- Mentor a team of junior analysts, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Support current and future GHX data solutions by demonstrating a strong understanding of data, platforms, systems, and application in making recommended changes.
- Ability to contribute different thoughts, ideas and viewpoints that lead to greater innovation on projects and cross-functional collaborative efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical analyst role.
- Mastery of SQL.
- Proven experience in data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- We are looking for someone who is proficient in the role requirements, but who also brings a unique perspective and diversity of thought to our team.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in the healthcare industry working with supply chain data and analytics preferred.
- Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and data science a plus.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and Bash a plus.
Estimated Salary Range for this position: $87,400 to $116,500
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX’s salary range for this position. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees.
