
Contractor - Project Manager, Cybersecurity
The Project Manager, Cybersecurity is responsible for planning, coordination, and overseeing delivery of Cybersecurity projects and initiatives across GHX to improve the organization’s performance in all areas of Security. Reporting to the Executive Director of Cybersecurity Risk Governance, the Project Manager, Cybersecurity will work with Cybersecurity and other GHX Leaders and team members to provide oversight of projects to support project-level activity to facilitate delivery of program goals and transparency through reporting.
This is a remote based contract position, with an expected duration of 6 months.
Essential Duties:
- Manage and coordinate execution of cybersecurity projects, initiatives and resource management, including JIRA ticket processing, intake requests, prioritization, capacity, backlog management, and management reporting.
- Delivering on cybersecurity projects using the best approach as set out within any project methodology processes.
- Define priorities, requirements, dependencies, and manage projects through planning, design, build, testing, and service transition phases.
- Ensure the agreed objectives and success criteria are delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify and facilitate the resolution of any issues that may arise.
- Anticipate project risks and escalate in a timely manner to drive decisions and/or course correction
- Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security engineers, IT operations, legal, and compliance, to ensure project success.
- Assist Cybersecurity Leadership through performance of administrative tasks as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- 3-5 years of program and project management experience
- 1-3 years of cybersecurity experience
- Detail oriented – ensures accuracy with all deliverables.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- PMO certifications
- Healthcare industry experience
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM
- Scrum / Agile Methodology
Estimated hourly compensation $36.00 - $41.00
