Infrastructure Engineer II

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Infrastructure Engineer II to join our IT team at our GHX India office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our on-premises Windows server environment, virtualized infrastructure, network infrastructure, and cloud-based systems. Additionally, they will oversee server hardware maintenance, cluster management, and troubleshooting of non-responsive hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Prem Windows Server Administration: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Windows-based servers to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Virtual Environment Management: Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Hyper-V and VMware virtual environments.
  • Network Infrastructure Support: Diagnose and resolve network infrastructure issues, working with IT teams to ensure seamless connectivity and security.
  • AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Maintain and support cloud-based solutions, ensuring integration with on-prem infrastructure.
  • Server Hardware Maintenance: Perform upgrades, troubleshooting, and repairs of physical server hardware.
  • Cluster Management: Manage cluster resources, including adding RAM, storage, and other upgrades as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Windows Server administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Hyper-V and VMware virtual environments.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with server hardware maintenance and upgrades.
  • Proficiency in cluster management and performance tuning.
  • Ability to physically troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional).
  • Linux admin experience (Not required but should be open to learn).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Experience with IT security best practices and compliance.
  • BE/B Tech with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with MDM solutions and handheld device support.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
