
Agile Delivery Consultant
The Agile Delivery Consultant is a key member of the Solution Delivery team responsible for supporting one or more non-software development agile delivery teams. The Agile Delivery Consultant role requires someone experienced in software as a service (SaaS) solution implementation, who is highly organized and will foster continuous improvement, collaboration and transparency across teams. The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for process improvement. Experience applying agile/lean practices in professional services, consulting, or customer implementations is highly valued. This role does not include management of timeline or people.
Responsibilities for Agile Delivery Consultant
- Lead the delivery teams in using agile methodologies, e.g., Kanban, Scrum, flow
- Act as a coach and mentor within the agile framework
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives
- Monitor team performance, track metrics and KPIs
- Develop and maintain reporting related to team performance
- Drive team progress between meetings by leading discussions and proactively coaching team members on task management and agile practices
- Communicate progress, blockers, risks, and improvement opportunities to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner
- Work with project managers and delivery team members to achieve customer satisfaction, deliver value and remove impediments
- Identify potential pitfalls and project risks
- Guide the delivery teams in identifying opportunities and continuously improving within the agile framework
- Collaborate with project managers to help resolve conflicts and issues as needed, and escalate when appropriate
- Help the delivery teams achieve higher levels of agility
Qualifications for Agile Delivery Consultant
- Experience implementing SaaS solutions to external customers
- Basic understanding of healthcare Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Ability to analyze, think quickly
- Exceptional client management, project management, organizational, and planning skills
- Strong work ethic and positive outlook
- Must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong track record of developing and maintaining solid business relationships
- Ability to work closely with and lead a team through daily scrum events and drive toward achievement of goals
- Able to successfully influence without authority
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
- Experience encouraging teamwork and building team morale
- Able to quickly adapt to a changing environment and stay focused amid distractions
- Highly self-motivated and able to suggest improvement opportunities and new ideas and drive them to completion
- Willingness to learn and apply Kanban, Scrum, other agile methodologies, and obtain an industry certification
- Customer-focused professional with a passion for excellence
- Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage data in Excel
Preferred Skills:
- Experience implementing SaaS solutions in ERPs, e.g., Oracle, Workday, Infor
- CAPM, PRINCE2, or equivalent
- Customer-facing SaaS implementation project management
Education and Experience-
- E / B.Tech / B.S in Computer Science or related degree, or a combination of education and related experience.
- 3+ years implementation experience
- 2+ years project management experience
