
Sr Revenue Accountant III
The Senior Revenue III Accountant is a key individual contributor responsible for executing complex revenue accounting processes and supporting accurate, GAAP-compliant global revenue recognition. This role partners with the Revenue Manager and cross-functional teams to analyze contracts, apply accounting guidance, and ensure the integrity of revenue reporting.
This individual demonstrates strong technical and analytical capabilities, contributes to process improvements, and supports the monthly close, audit, and ongoing revenue operations. The role is expected to operate independently within defined areas while continuing to build deeper expertise in ASC 606 and revenue-related processes.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Execute monthly revenue close responsibilities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Prepare revenue analysis, including monthly flux and variance explanations to support leadership review
- Prepare and maintain revenue reconciliations, journal entries, and revenue recognition schedules with accuracy and completeness
- Review and interpret customer contracts to support appropriate revenue recognition and tracking
- Apply revenue accounting guidance (ASC 606) to routine and moderately complex transactions, escalating more complex issues as needed
- Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to research accounting guidance and document conclusions
- Support audit activities, including preparation of PBC requests and responding to auditor inquiries
- Identify process inefficiencies and propose practical solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Contribute to process improvements, including standardization, automation, and documentation enhancements
- Develop and maintain clear and organized process documentation for assigned revenue areas
- Assist in establishing and maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Operations to support revenue-related processes and questions
- Support ad hoc revenue projects and initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience with ASC 606 / revenue recognition
- Public accounting audit experience
- 15% Travel Annually
Preferred Qualifications:
- Local to the Denver, CO area
- CPA
- Experience with a leading global accounting firm (e.g., Big 4)
- SaaS or subscription-based revenue experience

- Strong documentation skills that improve clarity, consistency, and reduce review cycles
Estimated salary range: $81,000 - $108,000
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees.
