About the Role
We are searching for a Senior Manager, People Business Partners to drive people initiatives that align strategically with our growing business objectives. In this highly influential role, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all people-related matters while coaching and developing teams to achieve business outcomes. You'll be influential in shaping organizational design and strategy, leading talent management initiatives, and driving a culture of high performance, urgency and engagement.
You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters and will operate in a hybrid environment with 2 days per week in the office (Tuesdays & Thursdays).
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development and implementation of People strategies including performance management, resource risk mitigation, compensation and rewards, and succession planning
- Build strong partnerships with senior leaders, becoming a trusted advisor and providing strategic HR/People guidance to drive business success
- Drive organizational design efforts, partnering with leaders to optimize structures, roles, and responsibilities
- Oversee complex employee relations issues, conducting investigations, providing guidance, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations
- Build dashboards, utilize tooling and analyze people metrics adding further insight into the overall health of our teams
- Design and facilitate leadership development programs, coaching managers and leaders on effective people management
- Champion our values and culture, being a role model for these and supporting the continual embedding of them in everything we do
- Stay up-to-date on People/HR trends, best practices, and legal compliance requirements
What We’re Looking For
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible HR/People experience, with a minimum of 3 years working in an HR/People Business Partner capacity, ideally at a fast-growing startup
- Demonstrated expertise in building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and driving strategic business impact through people initiatives
- Proven ability to manage complex employee relations cases
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret people and organizational data effectively
- Demonstrated experience coaching leaders and driving organizational development and change
- Proven ability to advise leaders on how to build, lead and grow effective teams
- Experience managing at least 1-2 direct reports
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus

The starting base salary for this role in New York, California, and Washington is between $159,500-$187,500. The base salary offered is dependent upon many factors including skills, experience, location, and education. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in GlossGenius’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within our total rewards offering.
