About the Role

As the Copywriting Lead, you’ll be responsible for building out the copywriting discipline at GlossGenius. You will create new processes and guidelines, craft compelling copy for key marketing touchpoints, and work cross-functionally to uplevel the excellence of GlossGenius content across the organization. You will work hand in hand with the Brand team on campaign development, Creative and Performance teams on ad creation, and Product Marketing teams on positioning. This role will bring our unique and resonant voice to life across the funnel, drive consistency in-market, and ultimately help us attract and delight more customers.

You will report to the Director of Brand Marketing. You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters and will operate in a hybrid environment with 2 days per week in the office (Tuesdays & Thursdays).

What You’ll Do

• Establish a streamlined content creation process that drives consistency and excellence across the marketing ecosystem
• Create engaging copy for cross-channel marketing efforts  by leading on ad copy creation, integrated campaign messaging guides, and tagline development
• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing creative and strategic ideas that uplevel our marketing
• Write copy for select UX projects, contributing to messaging across the GlossGenius product experience 

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional writing experience 
• Proven track record developing successful ad campaigns for industry-leading brands 
• Experience creating and implementing processes for copywriting excellence 
• Strong understanding of how to write persuasive copy that drives engagement and conversions across the funnel 
• Ability to distill complex concepts into compelling narratives, and adapt tone and style for various audiences
• Positive, collaborative, and open to feedback, contributing to strong cross functional working relationships

The starting base salary for this role in New York, California, and Washington is between $100,000-$120,000 + target equity + benefits. The base salary offered is dependent upon many factors including skills, experience, location, and education. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in GlossGenius’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within our total rewards offering.
