Role Overview

This role will support the Asset Protection team at our Teterboro, New Jersey facility and report into the AP Supervisor/Manager. The incumbent will help ensure a safe and secure work environment by acting as a visual deterrent to potential loss while also documenting any/all required activities.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain and enforce the Asset Protection Associate POST Orders for the facility. Ensure POST Orders are in place, monitored and enforced; assist in implementing facility-level IIPP, emergency procedures and fire prevention programs
  • Interview and train new and existing security guards on POST Orders. Assist in the training and interviewing of new Asset Protection Associates, ensuring that POST Orders are implemented, monitored and enforced
  • Assist with the facility's IIP Program, support all Safety Programs and precautions and help ensure a safe working environment for all employees
  • Help support access control efforts to maintain a safe and secure work environment. Enforce the Company Visitor Program, maintain accurate access control records and help oversee the distribution of access control cards for employees 
  • Complete and communicate findings from opening/closing checklists 
  • Support the local Asset Protection team with vendor audits, transfer audits, high-value location audits and cycle count inventories as directed
  • Assist local management with special events and planned activities
  • Help maintain security presence within the facility at all times, monitoring visitor and vehicle activity and reporting any suspicious activity to management
  • Evict trespassers, detain violators and make decisions in line with policies and legal protocols
  • Any other duties as assigned by Asset Protection, Workplace Services or Operations

We are looking for:

  • A motivated and team-oriented individual with one or more years of warehouse, distribution center and/or retail store experience. This includes the following:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Security Guard and/or Asset Protection experience preferred
    • Audit and compliance experience preferred
    • Familiarity with CCTV, NVR, Google Suite, Excel, PowerPoint and iOS (a plus, but not required)
    • Ability to coach and train team members
    • Ability to handle personal and/or sensitive information confidently
    • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, including planned/unplanned overtime
    • Ability to work in a warehouse or retail environment with varying conditions (such as dust, fluctuating temperatures, extended time frames of sitting, standing and/or walking)
