Strategic Account Manager, New Supply
At GOAT Group, the Business Development team drives the company’s strategic growth efforts. Comprising teams focused on Strategy, New Business Initiatives, Partnerships, and Account Management, the department leads a global, supply-focused effort to partner with brands, retailers, and power sellers — securing new inventory and expanding GOAT Group’s reach. As the company continues to grow into new channels and categories, this role will play a vital part in that next chapter.
We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join the Business Development team. This individual will identify, evaluate, and execute new supply opportunities across various verticals (e.g., sneakers, apparel, collectibles) and channels. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong strategic thinking, analytical, and relationship management skills. This hybrid role combines traditional account management with business development and strategic initiatives. Success in this role requires adaptability, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
In This Role, You Will:
- Own both the vision and execution for supply growth and account success across new verticals and channels.
- Build and execute go-to-market plans for new categories, from identifying prospects and onboarding sellers to defining growth levers and success metrics.
- Proactively identify and share market and seller trends with internal teams to support strategy development and/or process improvement.
- Source, pitch, and close supply partnerships that unlock access to high-value sellers across new and existing categories.
- Successfully onboard these new partners to the platform, providing dedicated support for their success and growth.
- Own the full seller lifecycle with minimal oversight, identifying opportunities, onboarding partners, maintaining relationships, and driving growth through data-driven tactics.
- Leverage data and insights to measure performance, evaluate opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Analytics to launch scalable systems and deliver a world-class seller experience.
We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in account management, business development, or strategic partnerships.
- Proven ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience building a book of business
- Confidentiality and discretion is a MUST
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience owning projects end-to-end, from ideation through execution.
- Comfort with ambiguity and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Naturally curious, resourceful, and driven to learn new markets and solve complex problems. Nice to Have
- Experience in two-sided marketplaces, e-commerce, or creator/collector communities.
- Familiarity with SQL.
| GOAT Group uses geographic pay tiers based on the employee’s home state to align compensation with market differences across the U.S. Hiring Range: Tier 1 (Includes states such as California, New York (including New York City), Washington, Illinois and other higher-cost markets) $90,000 - $112,500 USD Tier 2 - (Includes mid-cost markets across the U.S.) $81,200 - $101,500 USD Tier 3 - (All other U.S. locations) $76,800 - $96,000 USD |
The hiring range for this position is below, plus benefits (401K, paid time off, dental, medical, vision, disability, life insurance options).
