The role - this is a fixed term contract of 20 months
We are seeking a Public Relations (PR) Manager to support our global PR efforts within the Corporate Communications team at GoCardless. This role will involve collaboration with diverse teams to elevate brand awareness through earned media initiatives!
Key responsibilities:
- Global Announcements: Lead the strategy and execution of customer and partner announcements for GoCardless, including sourcing, drafting, publishing and reporting on the impact of press releases. You will also create visual content and copy for related social media posts.
- Programme Management: Oversee daily operations of GoCardless's global PR programme, ensuring the smooth coordination of planning and reporting processes both in-house and across our global network of PR agencies.
- Awards Programme: Drive the identification and submission of award entries that will significantly elevate GoCardless's brand awareness among key audiences.
- Corporate Communications: Ensure that GoCardless’s messaging is effective for spokespeople, maintain relevant corporate communication documents, and manage updates to the press section of the company website.
- Team Support: Assist the Corporate Communications team with various projects and administrative tasks, and manage procurement processes for PR initiatives.

- Sharing Success Stories: Highlighting the positive impact of collaborations and partnerships through compelling storytelling.
- Building Strong Relationships: Cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of GoCardless, including customers, partners, media, and industry.
- Strategic Messaging and Positioning: Crafting and delivering clear, concise, and impactful messages that resonate with target audiences and support business objectives.
- Measuring and Evaluating Impact: Tracking and analyzing the effectiveness of communication efforts to optimize results and demonstrate return on investment (ROI).
What excites us
- Experience: 3-5 years in public relations, ideally in an in-house team or agency. Experience in the finance or payments industry is a bonus.
- Language Proficiency: Native or near-native proficiency in English to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Writing and Editing Skills: Exceptional ability to write, edit, and proofread, translating technical and financial concepts into accessible language for non-technical audiences.
- Attention to Detail: Strong initiative and the capability to work independently and collaboratively to tackle complex tasks effectively.
- Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with both internal and external teams.
Salary range - the expected base salary range for this position is between €2,400 - €3,600 (gross) per month
Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
