The role

We are looking for a new member of our Global Payment Partnership team to manage our European partner relationships on a 12-month FTC basis (maternity cover). Reporting to the Director, Global Payment Partnerships, you will be working closely with Product, Engineering, Sales and Operations teams and be responsible for managing our SEPA payment partners, as well as working with banks and third parties to expand our coverage, enhance our product, build our industry relationships and enable our sales teams.

  • Managing the supplier relationships with our European banking partners
  • Negotiating pricing, processing limits, and contract terms
  • Completing annual due diligence reviews with our banking partners
  • Being the internal and external SEPA payments subject matter expert
  • Understanding our customers' pain points and working proactively to remove friction
  • Producing internal content and guides to enhance the company’s knowledge
  • Working on cross-functional projects related to our SEPA product, taking accountability for visibility and delivery
  • Thinking out of the box and working with partners and scheme providers to originate new solutions to old problems

What excites us  

  • A relationship management pro with experience managing payment partners 
  • A project management whizz; structured and excellent at delivering against deadlines. You have led successful projects where you were directly responsible for the outcome
  • An excellent networker, able to build an industry presence and champion the business in the market
  • Resilience, persistence - you don’t get discouraged even if partners and industry providers move slowly
  • You have experience negotiating pricing and contracts
  • You understand a partner's due diligence processes and have successfully completed one of those in a previous role
  • You understand the payments landscape at a macro level 
  • You have strong research skills and enjoy solving complex problems
  • You have excellent written skills and know how to create crisp, clear material for training and education
  • You can understand and articulate technical solutions
  • Ideally, you would be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing in French

Salary range: €84,800 - €127,200

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point (€84,800 - €106,000) of the pay range until performance can be assessed in the role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
