The role

You will be making sure that GC has a technology stack that supports our business goals for the next 3-5 years as the overall owner for the Technical Architecture at GoCardless.

As the ultimate point of escalation for Principal Engineers across GC, you will help to identify challenges and technical interdependencies and suggest solutions to address them.

You are expected to evangelise the successful adoption and use of tooling and technologies while taking a central role in decision-making for technical, business, and organisational issues.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be running Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to drive the creation of standards across Engineering, as well as teaching/mentoring/growing/advising other domain experts, individual contributors, and teams.

You will also represent GoCardless externally when speaking at public events (conferences, user groups, meetups, webinars, etc), writing for our technical blog and contributing to open source software.

Please note, this role is initially being offered through an Employer of Record (EOR), our standard benefits package will be available upon transition to direct employment.
