The role

This role is part of the Internal Communications team and exists to drive alignment with GoCardless’ vision & strategy, so every GeeCee has a clear understanding of our priorities, why they’re important, and how their work impacts our success.

 

You will help to lead the day to day planning and output of the Internal Comms function; this includes ensuring we execute ‘priority’ projects on an ad-hoc basis, while working to maintain momentum with our ‘drumbeat’ of regular communications across a variety of channels.

 

What excites you

 

  • Leading various aspects of the communication of transformational projects across the business; recent examples have included launching and embedding a new operating model, acquisition of an external business, and introducing pay range transparency
  • Bringing new ideas to the overall internal communications plan and approach, ensuring what we do is impactful, and positively contributes to the growth and success of GoCardless
  • Regularly devising and executing communication plans (for example, to roll out our engagement survey, fundraise news, or celebrate the launch of a new product) which deliver clear, measurable outcomes
  • Co-manage our communications channels, including our intranet, Slack, and email tool, while measuring their impact
  • Build strong connections to become a trusted adviser to stakeholders around the business, to help them achieve their communications goals
  • Run and measure regular listening sessions with employees from all of our locations, to help inform our work and identify opportunities for improvement and impact.

 

What excites us

  • Prior experience in a busy internal communications team/function
  • Ability to originate and execute strategic internal communications plans; tactically deliver them; and measure results
  • Experience owning communications to support a wide variety of strategic & transformation projects, with involvement ‘end to end’
  • Ability to quickly and confidently build relationships with stakeholders (at all levels), and other employees, so they trust us as experts to help advise them on the most effective ways to communicate
  • Exceptional writing ability; you’re unphased by jargon and can easily transform complexity into something compelling and easy to understand, all in our authoritative and friendly tone of voice
  • An omnichannel mindset; you know how to get the very best out of various channels & platforms — from straightforward emails through to Slack, Zoom, face to face, intranet and more; you’re keen to explore new technologies such as AI that enhance what we do
  • You excel at - and are eager to - be ‘hands on’ to get things done, often having to prioritise multiple tasks at once. As a small team, we all chip in to deliver collective results
  • Ideally, experience planning and executing large in-person events.

Base salary range: EUR 2,067 to 3,100 gross monthly


Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data.  Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
