Join us! The GoFundMe team is looking for our next Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Groups & Teams squad. You’ll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our next-generation fundraising features—enhancing the peer-to-peer fundraising platform that helps organizers raise funds easily and efficiently.The ideal candidate combines strong engineering skills with a sharp product mindset, is motivated by the technical challenges that come with scale, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative environment.

Candidates eligible for this role must reside in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Job…

  • You’ll collaborate with Product Managers, Product Designers and Back End Engineers to develop features and improvements to GoFundMe
  • You’ll work across the frontend primarily and occasionally on the full stack.
  • You’ll participate in code reviews to maintain internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices.
  • You’ll build and ship brand-new features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members.
  • You’ll participate in on-call rotations to assist in troubleshooting urgent engineering issues.
  • You’ll recognize technical debt, propose and implement solutions.
  • You’ll advocate for improvements to the codebase and provide leadership to others within your team.

You… 

  • 5+ years of professional experience developing customer-facing web applications using a component-based frontend framework like React and Next.js and writing high-quality, well-tested code. 
  • Experience turning high-fidelity mockups into beautiful, pixel-perfect and responsive web applications using tools such as UI design systems and css frameworks.
  • Experience with tools such as ESLint, Jest, and Playwright.
  • Experience with client-side performance and optimization.
  • Experience using Git in a workplace environment.
  • Experience working in an agile, intensely iterative software development process.
  • Experience with application performance monitoring and log analytics tools.

Preferred… 

  • Experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  • Comfortable with writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Experience with Kotlin, Java, and GraphQL integrations.
  • Experience with New Relic.
  • Experience with CI/CD - specifically github actions and merge queues.
  • Experience with Docker/K8s/AWS.
