GoFundMe is looking for a dynamic and strategic Director of Talent Acquisition to lead, evolve, and scale our hiring engine, both in the U.S. and globally. In this high-impact role, you’ll shape how we attract, engage, and hire top talent to fuel our mission of helping people help each other. You’ll bring a bold vision for recruiting, deep expertise in talent strategy, and a strong ability to influence, inspire, and operationalize.
We are seeking candidates based in the Bay Area who can come to the office 2+ times per week.
The Job
- Guide, mentor, and grow the global Talent Acquisition team into trusted advisors to the business, fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and excellence.
- Align all hiring stakeholders around a cohesive process, ensuring clarity, accountability, and urgency in securing world-class talent.
- Collaborate closely with department leaders to proactively understand and respond to evolving team and company needs.
- Refine and scale recruiting strategies, tools, and workflows to ensure we’re operating efficiently and effectively, without sacrificing quality or experience.
- Continuously improve the candidate and hiring manager experience by capturing feedback, identifying pain points, and optimizing each stage of the funnel.
- Define and track meaningful metrics to monitor funnel health, hiring velocity, pipeline diversity, conversion rates, and team performance.
- Partner with Finance to forecast, track, and report on hiring progress and headcount planning, ensuring alignment with budget and business priorities.
- Lead inclusive hiring practices and keep us on track to meet our internal goals for building a diverse, representative team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to build and promote a compelling Employee Value Proposition and employer brand that reflects our culture and attracts the right talent.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
You
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of proven experience leading, aligning, and developing recruiting teams within a high-growth tech industry
- Experience managing a global recruiting team in a competitive tech industry
- Deep understanding of the complexity of diversity recruiting, and desire to drive results
- Process improvement mindset. You have an eye for efficiency, never losing sight of quality
- Demonstrated experience leveraging data to drive TA strategy, processes, and programs
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, make timely decisions, and drive behavioral change
- Problem solver with the ability to switch seamlessly between critical thinking and tactical execution within a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Employer Branding within the tech industry
- Vendor management + contract negotiation experience
- Experience using an ATS system (Greenhouse preferred), reporting tools, and sourcing tools

The total annual salary for this full-time position in this location is $227,000 - $277,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
