The GoFundMe team is searching for our next Associate Communications Manager in London to help build and execute the local communications and earned media strategy while supporting broader regional initiatives.
The primary focus of this role is to amplify the voices and stories of fundraisers on our platform, showcasing the incredible help they are delivering across communities in the UK and globally.
This is a hybrid position. Candidates considered for this role will be located in London, United Kingdom.

The Job
- Monitor and identify impactful fundraisers in real-time, working with organisers to amplify their stories.
- Support the UK communications team by developing and implementing strategies to share crowdfunding trends and data with national and regional media outlets.
- Assist with managing GoFundMe's owned social media channels, ensuring engaging and consistent content that builds audience reach and platform awareness.
- Support the development of communication metrics and reporting, contributing ideas to improve efficiency and meet targets.
- Work closely with global colleagues to align on cross-regional communications initiatives and shared goals.
- Monitor UK news cycles, social platforms, and digital sources to identify emerging trends and breaking stories that align with GoFundMe campaigns.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists to generate positive media coverage for the platform.
- Respond to media enquiries with professionalism and agility.
You
- Degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in relevant communications or media work.
- A strong self-starter with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- A creative thinker with the ability to identify and pitch compelling stories.
- The confidence to sensitively engage with individuals when the situation demands.
- Skilled in social media management, with a good understanding of platforms like X, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content tailored to different audiences.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
