Contracts Manager
Want to help us help others? We’re hiring!
GoFundMe is the world’s most powerful community for good, dedicated to helping people help each other. By uniting individuals and nonprofits in one place, GoFundMe makes it easy and safe for people to ask for help and support causes—for themselves and each other. Together, our community has raised more than $40 billion since 2010.
Join us! We are looking for a talented Contracts Manager to join our legal team. This is a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally with high-impact teams by supporting the legal team’s contracting function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for contract management and administration across GoFundMe’s vendor, customer, and partnerships matters. We are looking for someone who is motivated by our purpose and is a creative, flexible, business-minded problem-solver who is able to juggle multiple priorities.
The Job
- Partner with GoFundMe’s product, engineering, marketing, IT, sales, partnerships, and other stakeholder teams to manage the full lifecycle of our vendor, customer, and partnerships contracts.
- Support in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of agreements, including purchase agreements, sales agreements, license agreements, professional services agreements, consulting agreements, and NDAs.
- Provide basic guidance to stakeholders on contractual rights and obligations, and interface with vendors on contractual issues and other correspondence.
- Partner with the procurement team and the rest of the legal team to build and improve contracting policies and processes, templates, playbooks, and knowledge libraries.
- Support legal operations and utilize the legal team’s contract-management system to coordinate contract review and maintain accurate contract records.
- Work on projects as needed, including managing updates to GoFundMe’s terms of service and policies, coordinating responses to RFPs from prospective customers, supporting corporate diligence and other data-driven initiatives, and supporting GoFundMe’s insurance-renewal process.
You
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a contracts manager, paralegal, or other relevant experience managing and advising on the full contract lifecycle.
- Strong experience working independently with different contract types, including master agreements, purchase agreements, sales agreements, license agreements, statements of work, amendments and NDAs.
- Proficiency in contract matters for multiple stakeholder groups, like sales teams, partnerships teams, and vendor-facing stakeholders.
- Ability to perform basic redlining of contracts and negotiate contractual issues based on playbooks and other guidelines.
- Experience with managing updates to internal and external policies.
- Proficiency in contract-management tools, like Ironclad, Airbase, and AI review tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, act decisively, and run projects autonomously.
- Good judgment, strong ethics, kind heart.
- Confident self-starter and proven ability to work cross-functionally with business partners.
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under challenging circumstances.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, with effective resolution of conflicting priorities.
- A passion for GoFundMe’s mission while being a genuine GoFundMe ambassador who amplifies GoFundMe’s culture in all communications and interactions.
