We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to define and lead how we communicate with our employees, shaping our internal voice, and ensuring our employees are informed, aligned, and inspired. This is a high-impact, highly visible, and hands-on role for a strategic communicator who is equally comfortable setting direction and rolling up their sleeves to execute.
The Role
As Senior Manager, Internal Communications, you will lead and evolve GoFundMe’s internal communications strategy and execution. You’ll partner closely with executive leadership and the People team to ensure clarity, consistency, and impact across all employee communications.
This role reports to the Director of Corporate Communications and works cross-functionally with leadership across the company.
What You’ll Do
- Define and lead internal communications strategy
Establish a clear, scalable approach to how we communicate with employees, across channels, audiences, and moments that matter. - Shape and operationalize our internal voice
Develop a consistent voice and narrative for employee communications, ensuring alignment across executives and teams. - Lead internal executive communications
Partner with senior leaders to craft thoughtful, clear, and effective communications to employees. - Lead communications for high-visibility company announcements
Develop messaging, define communication plans, and drive execution from draft through approval to delivery. - Build systems and processes for scale
Create efficient workflows, cadences, and tools (including AI-enabled solutions) to support high-quality communications. - Partner closely with the People team
Establish a strong, ongoing partnership to align on priorities, messaging, and communication cadence.
What You Bring
- 8–12 years of experience in internal or employee communications
- Proven ability to set strategy and execute independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong experience in executive communications, including advising senior leaders
- Experience leading communications for high-stakes or high-visibility moments (e.g., company announcements, organizational changes)
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with a strong sense of voice and tone
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and navigate complex processes
- A builder mindset—you’re energized by creating structure where it doesn’t yet exist
- Experience in mission-driven organizations is a plus

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $145,000 - $218,000 + equity + benefits. As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
