Join us! The GoFundMe team is seeking a Lead Technical SEO to join our SEO team and help shape the technical SEO foundation across all our properties. This role will play a key role in driving SEO at scale in the US and globally, while working closely with product and technology teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-moving, collaborative environments, loves testing and learning, and is passionate about driving discovery online.
The Job:
- Own technical SEO performance globally, optimizing site architecture, page speed, schema, and LLM discoverability.
- Work with SEO director and Product, Engineering, and Data Science to ensure SEO is embedded into the global roadmap and technical infrastructure. Build the case for SEO prioritization in development roadmaps.
- Partner with the larger SEO team to make sure technical recommendations align with global priorities and needs.
- Conduct technical audits to identify and resolve issues across crawling, indexing, hreflang, rendering, internal linking, and structured data.
- Stay ahead of algorithm updates and evolving search behaviors, including AI and multimodal search (AEO, YouTube, TikTok, LLM-based engines).
- Educate and influence cross-functional teams on SEO best practices — fostering a data-driven, globally aware search culture.
You:
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in SEO, with a strong technical foundation - comfortable discussing crawling, indexing, site speed, structured data, and hreflang implementation.
- Expertise in SEO tools like Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Conductor, SEMRush, or other key industry tools
- Experience improving rankings and organic traffic across multi-language, multi-region sites.
- Familiarity with working in large, dynamic web environments (marketplaces, UGC platforms, or SaaS).
- Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and content teams — and comfortable writing tickets and articulating business impact.
- Understanding of AI and generative search (AEO) and its impact on global search visibility.
- Clear communicator with the ability to translate complex data and technical insights into actionable strategy.
- Agile and curious - thrives on testing, iteration, and scaling learnings across markets.
