This is a hybrid position. Candidates considered for this role will be located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Job

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data models that power analytics, reporting, and experimentation
  • Develop and manage transformation workflows using DBT (or similar tools) following modern ELT practices
  • Define and maintain a metrics layer / semantic layer to ensure consistent, trusted business definitions
  • Build curated, analytics-ready datasets from multiple sources (event data, transactional systems, third-party APIs)
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into well-defined metrics and data models
  • Ensure data quality through testing, validation, and monitoring frameworks
  • Optimize query performance and cost efficiency within Snowflake (or similar warehouse)
  • Enable self-service analytics by designing intuitive, well-documented data models
  • Support and scale experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing and metric standardization
  • Leverage AI tools such as Claude and agentic workflows to accelerate data modeling, metric documentation, and semantic layer development
  • Help shape how the team uses AI-assisted analytics — enabling data scientists and business users to query trusted datasets through governed AI interfaces
  • Collaborate with data engineers to define upstream data contracts and improve data reliability
  • Document data models, metrics, and lineage to improve discoverability and trust
  • Contribute to governance practices including naming conventions, versioning, and access controls
  • Drive adoption of best practices in analytics engineering across the organization

You

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or advanced analytics roles
  • Strong expertise in SQL (advanced querying, optimization, window functions, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with DBT or similar transformation frameworks
  • Experience working with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
  • Strong understanding of data modeling best practices (star schema, dimensional modeling, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot to accelerate modeling, documentation, and code review
  • Strong understanding of how LLMs and agentic workflows interact with semantic layers and what that means for how analytics data is structured and governed
  • Experience defining and managing business metrics and semantic layers
  • Familiarity with event-based data models and user behavior tracking
  • Experience working with analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, Sigma, or similar
  •

Preferred

  • Experience with experimentation platforms and A/B testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with metrics layer tools (e.g., LookML, MetricFlow, Cube, Transform)
  • Experience with event tracking tools (GA, Heap, Segment, CDPs)
  • Experience with Python for data transformation or analysis
  • Knowledge of data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect)
  • Experience with data governance and cataloging tools
  • Familiarity with machine learning data pipelines or feature stores
  • Experience with Reverse ETL tools (e.g., Hightouch, Census)

A little more about you

GoFundMe is where we help people help each other. Help comes in many different shapes and sizes, and so we aim to hire a team who reflects the diverse backgrounds, experiences, lifestyles and values of the people who come to the platform every day.

You’ll see two sections below. The first section is a list of voluntary self-identification options so you can share what makes you, you! We want to understand the big picture of our employees’ identities, expressions, and abilities. The second section looks similar with slightly fewer specifics, and that one is for our company’s government reporting. Both of these sections are optional, and kept confidential. Your responses or your choice to opt-out have no influence on the hiring process for this role.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
