Senior Corporate Recruiter - Automotive/Manufacturing

Summary: 

This role will support hiring needs for full-time, temporary, and intern positions. Being adaptable to a work environment that is always changing at different paces is key to a successful career with Goken! Your work matters…in this role, you will work closely with our internal managers to impact the delivery of business objectives through talent attraction. Responsibilities:

  • Work with managers and supervisors to develop proactive recruitment plans that meet current and projected staffing needs, emphasizing difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Identify and source qualified candidate profiles using various sourcing techniques (e.g., Boolean search), databases, and social media.
  • Participate in and support recruitment events promoting such as job fairs, virtual career fairs, college recruiting, or other recruiting events.
  • Implement recruitment strategies aimed at attracting and hiring diverse candidates, including networking with minority colleges/universities, diversity Career fairs, and community organizations. Ability to manage between 10-20 job openings at a time.
  • Identifies areas of opportunity for continuous improvement and proactively delivers solutions to challenges.
  • Effectively source passive candidates for current and future jobs. Screen and Interview candidates for select positions and refer best-qualified candidates to the Manager/Supervisor for consideration.
  • Understand and help improve department processes to create a more streamlined and efficient hiring process and reduce overall time to fill.
  • Act as a lead on Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives.
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
  • Ensures ATS is updated in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with managers to identify appropriate pay rates for job offers and seek approval.
  • Provides consultative feedback to deliver insights and solutions to achieve hiring goals and assist in selection decisions.
  • Develop and maintain active talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
  • Negotiate relocation assistance, Immigration coordination, and other boarding duties.
  • Participate in intake calls with clients and managers to learn more about new openings and expectations.
  • Mentor and assist Corporate Recruiters as needed.
  • Establish credibility and foster partnership among key stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in full lifecycle recruiting in automotive, manufacturing, IT and/or aviation industry.
  • Comfortable with terminologies in domains such as mechanical engineering, automotive design, information technology, software development, product lifecycle management, and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of human resources management principles and practices, including recruitment and selection concepts and practices, behavioral interviewing, sourcing best practices, and developing recruitment plans.
  • Ability to multi-task with focus and appropriate prioritization.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage an evolving workload.
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (e.g., recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings).
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed.
  • Ability to conduct diverse types of interviews.
  • Familiarity with recruitment databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Candidate Management Systems (CMS).
  • Strong negotiation skills, decision-making skills, and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
