Summary: 

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a hunter sales role focused on creating new customer relationships and opening new markets across industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Power Sports, Software/Tech, Medical Devices, Consumer Products, and Energy. The ideal candidate thrives on building connections, developing engagement strategies, pitching innovative engineering solutions, and closing deals. Success in this role will come from leveraging industry knowledge, networking, and a relentless drive to win new business.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a strong, sustainable sales pipeline through new business cultivation and strategic account expansion.
  • Proactively generate new opportunities through cold outreach (calls, emails, networking, and other prospecting methods). 
  • Execute solution-based selling by understanding client challenges and positioning engineering services that add value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage technical experts to build and execute targeted sales strategies.
  • Work through client contracts, RFPs, RFQs, and related procurement processes to secure new business. 
  • Develop account plans, forecast opportunities, and track key business metrics.
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities within assigned territory/markets.
  • Utilize social selling and professional networking tools to drive brand awareness and business development.
  • Travel to customer sites for in-person meetings and presentations as needed
  • Maintain a strong presence with clients through regular communication and relationship building.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support growth objectives.

Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of proven business development experience in a technical market (engineering services, technology, manufacturing/industrial staffing, or related industries preferred).
    • Demonstrated ability to present, negotiate, and influence effectively at all organizational levels, including executives and C-suite leaders.
    • Strong track record of leading and influencing stakeholders toward shared business goals.
    • Experience delivering client-focused solutions tailored to customer needs.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Microsoft Dynamics (or other CRMs), and other sales development software tools.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
    • High-energy, action-oriented personality with a hunter mindset.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
