Summary: 

We are looking for a Should Cost Engineer with 4–8 years of experience in the automotive, heavy earthmoving and road construction, agricultural machinery, aerospace, or semiconductor industries.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Should Cost Analysis and cost engineering activities for components and assemblies.
• Apply Activity-Based Costing (ABC) fundamentals to develop accurate cost models.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and cost standards for various components.
• Develop cost models for sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining, casting, forging, plastic injection molding, rubber components, wiring harnesses, and other related parts.
• Conduct supplier negotiations and support cost settlements by bridging the gap between Should Cost estimates and supplier quotations.
• Develop and maintain cost models and perform cost calculations using Microsoft Excel.
• Work effectively in a highly complex work environment while maintaining good presentation and communication skills.
• Support Should Costing activities for US and European clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience as a Should Cost Analyst or Cost Engineer in the automotive, heavy earthmoving and road construction, agricultural machinery, aerospace, or semiconductor industries.
• Strong understanding of Activity-Based Costing (ABC) fundamentals.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and costing methods for various components.
• Hands-on experience in supplier negotiations and cost settlements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel-based cost modeling and calculations.
• Willingness to adapt to manufacturing processes and quality standards.
