Coordinator, Scoreboard Operations

About the Position

Chase Center is looking for a Coordinator to provide essential operational and administrative support to the Scoreboard Operations Control Room. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily content scheduling and technical deployment of video assets across all LED and IPTV display systems. Additionally, you will also assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of our video production equipment. This position reports to the Senior Director, Scoreboard Operations.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the distribution of technical specs for loading and scheduling of all In-Arena LED video files for screens at Chase Center
  • Verify and ensure compliance of all incoming video and graphic content from internal departments and external clients, confirming correct formatting and playout readiness
  • Program and manage content playlists to be shown across interior and exterior displays
  • Collaborate with Studio and Event Presentation teams to execute all creative and technical aspects of the Scoreboard show elements, enhancing the fan experience and brand presentation
  • Assist with technical implementation of all scoreboard related projects
  • Assist with the intake process for all scoreboard show elements, including tracking and organizing partnership inventory and creative assets
  • Generate and analyze playback reports to confirm and verify accurate content delivery and execution
  • Work with engineering staff to perform pre-production checks and confirm all technical aspects of production are show ready
  • Support with administrative tasks (i.e., scheduling part-time employees and freelancers)
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest technological advances including media and entertainment technologies, studio production and workstation products
  • Assist with developing, updating, and maintaining library of SOPs and technical documentation
  • Continuously develop and refine technical skills as required to support new, existing, and evolving control room technologies and event presentation offerings
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1 year working in broadcast production or scoreboard control rooms preferred
  • Understanding of file-based multimedia technologies and video edit systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of Photoshop, web-based templates, other Adobe Creative Suite tools and video streaming products
  • Familiarity with production environments and basic knowledge of video broadcast equipment, preferably Ross Acuity and Xpression, Evertz Dreamcatcher, and Sony cameras
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to build positive relationships internally and externally; strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility with changing priorities; ability to organize, prioritize and handle workload
  • Familiarity with basketball scoring equipment with ability to communicate with game officials and broadcast representatives as needed

Time Commitment

  • Ability to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules including an on-call 24/7 schedule (including nights, weekend and holidays)

  • $28.00 - 30.00 per hour + Bonus
