Manager, Experiential Events
About the Position
The Manager, Experiential Events, is a key leader responsible for the end-to-end execution of high-profile brand, community, and private events. This role acts as a bridge between executive strategy and field execution, ensuring all logistics at Chase Center, Thrive City, Sephora Performance Center, and offsite locations meet the organization’s premium standards. In this role, you will drive operational efficiency, mentor junior staff, and maintain critical relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional experiences. This includes overseeing the implementation of events for Golden State and new experiential programs and private events. This position will report to the Director, Experiential Events.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the experiential events strategy defined by leadership, ensuring all event operations align with marketing objectives, brand standards, and organization’s goals
- Serve as a primary liaison for departments such as Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, and Community Relations to integrate event strategies into broader campaigns
- Manage coordinators and representatives by conducting regular performance reviews and managing workload distribution
- Lead the development of project timelines, creative briefs, and detailed workflows for the department to ensure maximum efficiency
- Research and secure off-site venues and lead site visits with internal and external clients for assigned events
- Support off-site venue selection and the negotiation of contract to ensure favorable terms and brand alignment
- Create accurate and detailed event layouts for all venues, ensuring production, capacity, and logistics align with client objectives, brand standards, and safety regulations
- Direct the creation and maintenance of detailed workflows, project timelines, and schedules for events
- Ensure all necessary permits are secured for events and maintain high-level relationships with local agencies
- Oversee detailed event specific budgets, ensuring maximum financial efficiency and assisting Director with departmental forecasting
- Utilize data analytics and post-event evaluations to measure key performance indicators and extract insights to inform future strategies and optimize effectiveness
- Manage relationships with external venues, vendors, agencies, and partners to secure the best resources and technologies
- Cultivate a culture of high performance, creativity, and collaboration, providing mentorship, training, and development to the team
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in hospitality, event management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years in event management or experiential marketing overseeing large scale and high profile corporate or hospitality events
- Proven experience managing and motivating a team, with a working knowledge of union environments preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, event management software, and digital marketing tools; working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
- Demonstrated ability to be a strategic thinker with the capacity to solve complex problems and drive results under pressure
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail, as well as written and verbal communication and ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Time Commitment
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule as evenings and weekend work shifts may be required
Compensation
- $87,000 - $92,000 + Bonus
