Golden Wolf // Creative Technology Internship

Period: Spring - Autumn 

Duration: 12 weeks preferred  

Hours: 9AM-6PM Monday - Friday 

Location: Hybrid Remote/In Person for Golden Wolf LDN

Salary: £13.85/hour

 

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Technologist Intern to join our team during our yearly internship program. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the intersection of technology and visual storytelling within the animation and design industries. Under the guidance of our tech and creative team, you will actively contribute to developing pipeline, tooling, and creative R&D that supports our creative team and its efforts  with real world project along with honing your skills and expanding your knowledge in a fast-paced studio environment. 

YOU’LL FIND SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE IF YOU ARE:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Computer Science, Digital Media, Animation, etc.) or a recent graduate, though we are open to people from all backgrounds. 
  • General programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, bonus if knowledgeable in C++.
  • A keen interest in researching new technologies, pipeline integration and workflow development.
  • Familiarised with 2D animation software, design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), and game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
  • Passionate about technology and its creative applications, with a keen interest in animation, design, and visual storytelling.
  • Excellent at problem-solving and strong attention to detail, ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledgeable of emerging trends and innovations in the technology and design industry.

 

The purpose of the internship is to give emerging creatives a practical introduction to the areas within the art and advertising industry in a professional context. Thus, the internship is a period of learning, and the Studio commits to giving them an opportunity to acquire an agreed learning outcome within the field of Design and Animation.

The internship offers a first-hand, real-world experience in a working design and animation studio. They are to be considered an apprentice, supported by the senior members of the full-time team to develop a range of specialist skills. These skill sets include new technologies, design and storytelling. While the emphasis is also put on supporting key soft skills such as timekeeping and communication.

Why do we handle your personal data?

We need to process various types of information about you to:

  • take the necessary steps before entering into a contract with you

Data retention and protection

If your application for employment is unsuccessful, we will keep your data on file for 6 months. If you consent to us keeping the information in case of further job opportunities, we will retain it for another 364 days or until you withdraw your consent. If your application is successful, we will issue you with a new privacy notice with your contract of employment. We have strict policies and controls in place to prevent the loss, accidental destruction, misuse or disclosure of your data.

 

Your rights and obligations

Under data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • obtain a copy of your data if you wish
  • ask us to amend incorrect or out of date data
  • ask us to stop erase or stop processing your data if it is no longer necessary for us to hold it for its original purpose
  • object to us processing your data where we are relying on our legitimate interests as the legal basis for processing
  • complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe we have breached your data protection rights

You are not obliged to provide any data to us during the recruitment process. However, if you do not, we will not be able to process your application properly, if at all.
