About the Role:
The HR Business Analyst in Motive’s People Technology team acts as a liaison between various HR and People Operations teams to deliver technology solutions. Key responsibilities include analyzing business requirements for HR systems like Workday, leading projects for process standardization and optimization, identifying and solving operational gaps, configuring and optimizing HR technologies, managing People Ops & Tech requests, reporting on HR data, participating in change management, and fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do:
- Act as the connector between People Operations, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), and other teams to deliver holistic and consistent People technology solutions.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions within HR systems (e.g., Workday), ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance requirements.
- Own or contribute to projects aimed at process standardization and optimization, improving operational efficiency and employee experience.
- Proactively identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and data integrity issues; develop and recommend solutions with a root-cause problem-solving mindset.
- Participate in and help drive the configuration and optimization of Workday and other HR technologies, including consistent setups and system-wide improvements.
- Support intake, scoping, and workflow management of People Ops & Tech requests through a shared service model, ensuring visibility, accountability, and effective prioritization.
- Gather, analyze, and report on HR data to support decision-making, compliance, and business needs.
- Participate in change management initiatives, including user training, documentation, and stakeholder communications.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, partnering with internal teams to drive better practices and effective solutions.
What We're Looking For:
- Deep and/or broad expertise (3+ years of experience) in People technology (HRIS Systems)
- Workday configuration experience is preferred
- Experience in business process design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems thinking skills, with a proactive approach to root-cause analysis.
- Effective project management capabilities, managing and contributing to projects of diverse scope and complexity.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working with stakeholders across diverse functions.
- Customer (end-user) focus, seeking to understand and prioritize user needs in both solution design and day-to-day support.
- High accountability, ownership orientation, and follow-through on commitments.
- Comfort with ambiguity and flexibility to adapt in a fast-changing, scaling environment.
Pay Transparency
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The compensation range for this position will depend on where you reside. For this role, the compensation range is:
United States
$76,000 - $105,000 CAD
