About the Role

As the Staff Product Manager, UK Market, you will define and execute Motive's product strategy for the UK, with the opportunity to expand your scope to continental Europe over time. You will own the commercial roadmap: where we compete, what we build, and in what order. You will then deliver it, working with engineering teams and peers across the product organization.

International expansion is one of the most important strategic initiatives at Motive. You will partner closely with sales, marketing, customer success, finance, product leaders, designers, and engineers to bring our products to customers who face different regulations, vehicles, hardware, and buying needs than in the US. You will be a senior voice in the room as leadership decides where to invest, and you will see those decisions through to shipped product.

To succeed, you must be comfortable influencing leaders across the company and navigating complex technical and organizational challenges. We operate like a startup within a larger organization, so you will wear many hats. Being entrepreneurial, commercially minded, and growth-oriented is critical.

What You'll Do

  • Define the UK product strategy. Decide which segments, products, and use cases to prioritise to win, grounded in customer, competitive, and regulatory insight.
  • Align the company on the right commercial roadmap. Work with GTM, finance, and executive leadership to turn market opportunity into prioritised roadmaps, business cases, and investment asks.
  • Execute with engineering. Partner with multiple engineering teams and product peers to scope, sequence, and deliver UK requirements, including regional feature adaptations, compliance products, and hardware and integration needs.
  • Build a deep understanding of UK customers, from fleet operators to drivers, through regular customer visits and field research, and translate what you learn into clear product requirements.
  • Influence across the product organization so that shared platform and product teams deliver against UK priorities.
  • Establish success metrics for the region, such as win rate, market coverage, adoption, and revenue, and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to the broader international strategy through market research, benchmarking, and financial and risk assessments.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years in product management at a B2B company or on operational products, with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives at scale.
  • Strong product sense and execution, with the commercial judgement to tie roadmap decisions to business outcomes.
  • Deep analytical skills and the ability to synthesise insight for an executive audience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence up and across, including senior engineering and business leaders.
  • Experience in a startup or new team environment.
  • Based in the UK. London preferred for in-office collaboration. Ability to travel within the UK for customer visits and field research (about 1-2 times per quarter) and to San Francisco 1-2 times per year for team meetings.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with products similar to Motive's, such as connected devices, telematics, fleet or asset management, IoT hardware plus software, or AI video and safety products.
  • Experience with international launches or localization.

Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace is one of Motive's core values. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives.
