As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll build the foundation of our data infrastructure, develop scalable and reliable data models, and empower teams across Gong with trusted insights that influence product direction and business decisions.

You’ll Own: 

  • The design, build, and maintenance of robust data models that turn raw data into trusted, analytics-ready datasets.
  • Our DBT pipelines and evolve them with a focus on scalability, modular design, testing, and clear documentation.
  • Customer-facing datasets and monitor pipeline health to ensure high data quality, integrity, and reliability.

You’ll Solve:

  • Translate complex product and business logic into clear, scalable, and maintainable data models.
  • Proactively identify and resolve data quality, pipeline, and event integrity issues while improving performance and cost efficiency across the data stack.

You’ll Impact:

  • Enable product, business, and engineering teams to make faster, more confident decisions with accurate and accessible data.
  • Strengthen the scalability, efficiency, and trustworthiness of our data platform, which will help drive product innovation and deliver high-quality, customer-facing data solutions.

How You’ll Succeed Here:

  • You bring 4+ years of experience in data engineering or similar data roles, along with strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud data warehouse.
  • You have solid experience with DBT for transformation, modeling, and documentation, and a strong commitment to building maintainable, high-quality data foundations.
  • You’re comfortable working with Python, CI/CD workflows, version control, and testing frameworks to create reliable and scalable data solutions.
  • You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, and enjoy turning complex data into meaningful insights that drive impact.
  • Familiarity with modern data orchestration tools such as Airflow, or similar - a plus
