Great Oaks Kathleen Sherry Charter School NYC isn’t your average school—we’re a launchpad for future leaders. Serving grades 6-12, we blend academics, creativity, and innovation to inspire students to aim high and achieve more.

We’re scouting trail-blazers to join us as teachers in these areas:

Core Subjects (Grades 9-12):

English: Lit 1-4, AP Lit
Science: Biology, Earth Science, Living Environment, AP Living Environment, Anatomy & Physiology
Math: Algebra 1-2, Geometry, Pre-Calc
History/Social Studies: Global History 1-2, US History, Economics & Government

Specials (Grades 6-12):

Performing Arts: Spotlighting creativity and self-expression.
STEM/Sustainability: Fostering the next generation of problem-solvers.

What You’ll Do:

Deliver lessons that stick, spark curiosity, and challenge the status quo.
Use technology and AI to make learning engaging and future-focused.
Create a classroom culture where students feel seen, heard, and motivated.
Stay tuned into student progress and adapt to their needs.

Who You Are:

A passionate educator who’s not afraid to think outside the box.
Skilled at making content come alive for grades 6-12.
Comfortable using tech to connect with today’s learners.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Teaching certification is a plus!

Compensation

School Leadership roles start out at $65,000; exact compensation will vary based on experience, education, and prorated pending start date.
