Accounting Manager

Goodhouse is seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Accounting Manager to join our team in Columbia, Missouri. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity of multiple related companies, overseeing the accounting department, and implementing strategic internal controls and compliance initiatives. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a skill in ERP accuracy and strength in GAAP compliance. 

Key Responsibilities

  • General Accounting Support: Provide comprehensive accounting support for multiple entities, focusing on the timely and accurate compilation of financial statements.

  • Internal Controls: Assist in developing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.

  • Reconciliations: Manage and reconcile various P&L and Balance Sheet accounts, including revenue, expenses, bank accounts, and debt agreements.

  • Systems Accuracy: Maintain monthly accuracy and synchronization between multiple ERPs and Operating Modules to ensure consistent reporting across all entities.

  • Fixed Asset Accounting: Analyze Construction in Progress (CIP) and Repairs/Maintenance accounts, while maintaining detailed listings for Personal Property assessments.

  • Reporting & Strategy: Report monthly on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and GAAP financials to support strategic executive decision-making.

  • Month-End & Audit Support: Lead month-end close procedures to meet strict deadlines and provide essential support for annual financial reviews and audits.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field (foreign equivalent degrees are acceptable).

  • Experience: 36 months of professional experience as an Accountant or in a closely related occupation.

  • Certification: Must currently possess a CPA license or be actively pursuing one.

  • Technical Skills: * Demonstrated employment experience applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

    • Direct employment experience utilizing the ServiceAutoPilot program.
