The Opportunity 

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic IT Manager to lead and optimize our organization's IT infrastructure, user support systems, and digital operations. The ideal candidate brings a robust background in systems administration, Google Workspace management, user lifecycle processes, and a strong aptitude for integrating cloud-based tools and third-party platforms. This role will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of IT operations, from software integrations and infrastructure improvements to data security and compliance.

This is a hybrid role based in Midtown Manhattan (4 days onsite, Fridays remote).

What You’ll Own

In-Office Tech: Support network infrastructure, conference room AV and audio equipment, printers, desk setups, and evolving office infrastructure.
Helpdesk: Manage and improve our outsourced IT vendor, ensuring they meet all SLAs; provide onsite and off-hours support as needed.
SaaS & Tools: Oversee acquisition, provisioning, and management of apps (often through Okta); maintain records for all software for data exposure, contract renewals, and security risk assessment.
Data Security & Compliance: Enforce device and application standards (Okta, 1Password, Mosyle), lead compliance initiatives (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA), and run audits, risk assessments, data storage policies, and training for employees. Lead security initiatives including vulnerability management, endpoint protection, encryption, and incident response.

Strategic Planning: Build IT roadmap, disaster recovery, and performance reporting.
Onboarding: Provide white-glove support for new hires; oversee device/software setup with our IT vendor. 

Your Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in IT systems administration and data security & compliance, with 6+ years of experience in increasingly senior roles 
• Expertise in Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Mosyle, MacOS, and SaaS integrations. The ability to maintain Okta is critical. 
• Strong project management and vendor management skills.
• Organized, proactive, and able to balance tactical execution with strategic planning.
• Excellent communicator with discretion around sensitive information.
