Social Media Designer
Who We Are
Good Inside is redefining parenting - not as something that should “just come naturally,” but as a skill to learn and practice. Founded by Dr. Becky Kennedy and Dr. Erica Belsky, we combine sturdy leadership with innovative technology to give parents personalized guidance, AI-powered support, and a global community.
Our mission: help parents raise resilient, confident kids in a changing world. We’ve already reached millions, and we’re just getting started. We’re refining our product and expanding our reach to empower even more families.
We’re looking for bold, high-ownership problem-solvers who want to build something new, tackle big challenges, and be at the forefront of change.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Social Media Designer who lives and breathes social media. You understand instinctively what stops someone mid-scroll, whether it’s a static post, a carousel that tells a story, or a short-form video with just the right pacing.
In this role, you’ll elevate Good Inside and Dr. Becky’s visual presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more. You’ll concept and create high-impact social visuals, mostly static, some light motion, and short-form video that deepen connection with our community and help more parents discover Good Inside.
You come with your own social sensibility: a strong personal aesthetic, an active awareness of trends, and an intuitive understanding of what works on each platform. You know how to take an idea, a moment, or a psychological insight and turn it into a visual that resonates and spreads.
This hybrid role requires 3 days per week in our Midtown Manhattan office.
What You’ll Own
- Create the most compelling, thumb-stopping visual content across our social channels, including static posts, carousels, stories, YouTube thumbnails, and feed first brand visuals.
- Support our short-form video strategy by creating and editing video content, including designing graphics for videos, editing podcast clips, and producing original videos.
- Translate written psychological concepts and ideas into clear, on-brand social media-friendly visuals that are optimized for each social platform.
- Bring a creator’s mindset: experiment with new formats, trends, and visual approaches and know when to move quickly on something that’s peaking.
- Use insights and performance data to understand what’s landing with the audience and why and apply those learnings to future content.
- Maintain and expand our social templates and design systems to ensure visual consistency at scale.
Your Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience designing graphics and videos for social media, marketing, or brand – ideally within a digital-first, fast-paced team environment.
- Strong personal connection to social media: you follow trends naturally, participate in them, and understand visual culture from the inside.
- Proficiency in design and social editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects for light motion, CapCut, Canva, Figma).
- Experience creating and editing content within Instagram and TikTok's native tools.
- Comfort taking a concept through multiple iterations quickly without sacrificing polish.
- Foundational understanding of AI tools that can enhance speed, ideation, or creative workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and contribute strategic thinking beyond execution.
What you Bring
- A portfolio full of social content that shows clear design craft and a creator’s intuition.
- A natural excitement for what’s happening on social media today - formats, trends, typography, pacing, audio, and visual language.
- Speed, adaptability, and a bias toward action – you can go from concept to iteration quickly without sacrificing quality.
- Understanding of design for performance (e.g., what makes someone stop, click and stay).
What We Offer
- Compensation: Annual Salary for this role will be $80k - $100k
- Company Equity
- Comprehensive benefits package
- 401k + Company match
- Time off to recharge
- Hybrid work environment
- A high-ownership, high-performance, high-collaboration culture
