ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you so much of a data-loving, IT wizard that you’re convinced you can telepathically migrate data between countries? Did your integrations abilities make you think you could train a literal flamingo to swipe through spreadsheets and spot data trends faster than any digital algorithm? Did the pink bird end up disobeying, knocking over your router, and causing you debugging heartbreak?
Well, nothing heals heartbreak quicker than finding out goodr is seeking a Boomi Integrations Engineer to join our jolly IT and Systems crew. (And although we lovingly call our employees “flamingos,” we assure you the team consists of humans, not actual birds. For now…) This position will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our Boomi integrations to ensure top-notch data flow and system connectivity within our epically epic ecosystem.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administrate Boomi integrations environment ensuring it is both reliable and stable
- Design, test, and implement robust Boomi workflows to facilitate seamless data transfer between platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data synchronization, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Build and maintain integrations primarily using Boomi, connecting systems such as Shopify, NetSuite, 3PL data centers, CRMs, and return platforms
- Develop simple custom solutions using Python or JavaScript to address complex integration requirements
- Monitor integration performance and promptly address any bottlenecks or failures
- Document integration processes, workflows, and best practices for future scalability
- Collaborate with business teams, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into integration solutions
- Provide technical guidance to ensure smooth software launches and updates
- Research and implement emerging technologies to enhance integration processes and system efficiency
- Ensure integrations comply with security and data privacy standards
- This role is in the Systems team and will report directly to the Director of Systems
- Perform other related duties as assigned
ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- May or may not have a degree...we don’t care (bonus points for Basset Hound Science or Dinosaur Law)
- Loves everything above
- Asks a lot of questions
- 7+ years of general IT experience
- Extensive experience with Boomi as an integration platform is a MUST (3+ years required)
- Master at Python, JavaScript, or another common programing language for scripting and custom solution development
- Hands-on experience with APIs (REST, SOAP) and webhooks
- Practical experience working within NetSuite
- Proficient in SQL
- Has experience within the CPG industry
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Brownie points if you can vibe with Shopify
- Dependable with the willingness to take the initiative to work collaboratively and with a sense of urgency
- Loves the work more than a paycheck
- Thinks systems are fun
- Loves to create order out of chaos
- Is happy to give away credit to their team
