Senior National Account Manager

Los Angeles

ABOUT GOODR

We create and sell active eyewear for anyone. No Slip. No Bounce. All Polarized. All Fun. Interested in joining our team? Keep reading.

OUR VALUES: We have two core values: Fun & Authenticity.

  • FUN = Being sh*tty isn’t fun. Agreed? Taking pride in your work, finding joy in being GREAT, and celebrating wins… and losses. Now, that’s fun!
  • AUTHENTICITY = Focusing on being authentic over being liked. (Next-level guru stuff. Count it.)

Fun Fact: We do not allow email to be sent internally. Carrier pigeons only. JK, we use Slack.

AUTONOMY: We practice autonomy, empowerment, and accountability so that every team member can be in control of their own life.

  • HYBRID WORKING: This role is required to be in the Inglewood office every Tuesday and Thursday with the occasional third day thrown in.
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: We have an all-company learning program so that we’re constantly leveling up our skills.

SUSTAINABILITY: We think Earth’s pretty rad. That’s why we take action wherever possible to limit our impact on the planet.

  • 1% FOR THE PLANET MEMBER: 1% of goodr’s annual sales go directly to environmental organizations.
  • CARBON NEUTRAL: In 2019, goodr became a 100% carbon neutral company.

Fun Fact: goodr celebrates every Earth Day by releasing limited-edition sunglasses with frames made from 100% recycled materials—and the packaging is 100% sustainable, too!

ABOUT THE ROLE

We know why you’re here. It’s because back in middle school, you didn't just run the bake sale—you single-handedly negotiated end-cap shelf space with the principal, convinced the local grocery store to donate supplies, and turned a $50 budget into a massive multi-thousand-dollar fundraising empire. You didn’t just sell cookies; you owned the distribution network.

That rare mix of big-picture strategy, ruthless retail charm, and absolute operational mastery makes you the ultimate retail mastermind we need to tackle the absolute big dogs: Target and Dick’s Sporting Goods (DSG). In this role, you’ll act as both the strategic visionary and the high-energy account owner, making sure our sunglasses dominate the shelves, our inventory moves like wildfire, and our retail partners view us as their absolute favorite, can't-live-without brand. So channel that powerhouse retail energy and apply today to be goodr’s Senior National Account Manager!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the overall strategic vision, revenue, and profit targets for two of our biggest accounts: our Target and Dick’s Sporting Goods (DSG)
  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) and craft multi-year growth strategies that expand distribution, doors, and product performance
  • Build and nurture rock-solid relationships with buyers, merchants, and senior decision-makers across both account empires
  • Work with our retail agency to align on media strategies and investments with account priorities, promotional plans, and sales objectives to drive growth and maximize performance.
  • Partner with Product, Planning, and Finance to build bulletproof account forecasts, optimize pricing, and curate high-velocity assortments
  • Collaborate with Marketing to cook up retailer-specific marketing campaigns, co-promotions, and head-turning in-store moments
  • Translate sell-through data and retail math into killer commercial strategies that close forecast gaps before they even happen
  • Serve as the ultimate internal connective tissue across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Digital to execute account wins flawlessly
  • Deliver high-impact business reviews and product presentations that make Target and DSG wonder how they ever survived without us
  • Track and analyze account KPIs, margins, and inventory health to ensure every SKU on every shelf is pulling its weight
  • No direct reports – you get to lead the charge/channel/category/strategy, without managing your fellow flamingos
  • This role is in the National Sales team and will report directly to the Director of National Sales
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • May or may not have a degree...we don’t care (bonus points for Basset Hound Science or Dinosaur Law)
  • 6+ years proven working experience managing major national wholesale accounts in CPG, active lifestyle, or retail brands

  • Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and execute joint business plans that drive visible results
  • Strong understanding of wholesale sales, retail math, forecasting inventory, assortment planning, and profitability
  • Expert cross-functional collaborator who can align Planning, Operations, Marketing, and Finance without direct authority
  • Expert presenter who is comfortable commanding a room and sharing the goodr vision with large groups
  • Working experience using Salesforce and NetSuite, with the ability to navigate advanced Retail analytics platforms with ease
  • Strong working knowledge of Asana is a BIG plus
  • Possesses a valid driver's license and the flexibility to travel up to 10% for key meetings and account events
  • Wakes up every single day obsessing over how to make our key partners bigger, healthier, and more profitable
  • Strong communicator who lives into collaboration and loves giving and getting feedback
