Goods & Services is looking for a Senior Agile Scrum Master who is able to software teams, drive Agile excellence, and ensure transparency. Skilled in communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking, balancing process adherence with flexibility to achieve business objectives and foster continuous improvement.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as a dedicated Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
- Proactively identify and address impediments to team progress, ensuring timely resolution of blockers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance within the team.
- Set clear goals, expectations, and success metrics for the team, continuously challenging them to deliver high-quality results.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and executive leadership, ensuring clear communication of project status, risks, and dependencies.
- Coach and mentor team members in Agile best practices, servant leadership, and collaboration.
- Drive stakeholder engagement by working closely with Product Owners, business leaders, and technical teams to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
- Utilize Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, burndown charts, etc.) to track team performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Promote and facilitate a positive, inclusive, and psychologically safe team environment.
- Encourage innovation and experimentation, driving a culture of learning and continuous enhancement.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, frameworks, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proven ability to lead Agile transformations and drive process improvements.
- Skilled in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence staff and executive leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to navigate team dynamics effectively.
- Ability to proactively identify challenges and drive solutions without direct authority.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Nice to have:
- Experience with SAFe, Kanban, or other Agile scaling frameworks.
- Background in software development, DevOps, or cloud technologies.
- Experience facilitating Agile training or workshops.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in Agile reporting and metrics-driven decision-making.
