About the job
Goods & Services is looking for a Sr. Cloud Software Engineer who develop and integrate cloud-based systems using Azure services, Kubernetes, and Python. The position focuses on building secure REST APIs, managing CI/CD pipelines and applying Agile methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
What you’ll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain systems and software enabling interoperability between connected devices and cloud platforms.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and clear presentations to support technical initiatives.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure efficient project execution while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
- Manage workload effectively, balancing priorities to meet project deadlines.
What you’ll need (Requirements):
- Expertise in Python 3, including type hints, style guide adherence, SQLAlchemy, Cryptography, PyJWT, and Pytest.
- Proficiency with Azure services, including AKS (Kubernetes), ACR (Container/Microservice), Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage, Application Gateway (Traefik, Nginx), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Data Factory.
- Experience with REST API development using FastAPI.
- Good understanding of the TLS HTTPS protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Ubuntu, Git, and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, TDD).
Preferred:
- React.
Nice to have:
- Understanding of authentication/authorization protocols, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
- Experience with Material UI.
- Familiarity with integration testing, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Knowledge of the Selenium UI testing framework.
- Skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
